What do your order statuses mean?

A short explanation to help you keep track of the status of your investments and trades made with Alta.

For your investments and trades made with Alta, they are trackable under the 'Portfolio' tab in the section titled 'Orders'. All ongoing and past investments and trades that have been made on Alta Platform will be recorded for with their latest status of the orders.

For investments, the statuses that can be tracked in your order is as follows:

Order Status Description
Pending Once the order is submitted, an Alta representative will reach out to you to confirm your investment and carry out the settlement process offline.
Pending Allotment When the settlement process is completed and your investment is confirmed, Alta will be working hard to complete the investment process with the issuer. In the meantime, you will see that the order status is 'Pending Allotment' so that you will know that the investment amount is confirmed.
Closed When your investment is completed, the asset will be allocated to you in the form as agreed (e.g. shares, tokens etc.) and the order will be 'Closed'.

For trades, the statuses that can be tracked in your order is as follows:

Order Status Description
Pending Once the order is submitted, depending on whether the order Alta is taking for the counter is a Firm Order or an Indicative Interest, the status will be 'Pending' and will only be confirmed by an Alta representative. This could be notified to you offline via email or via the 'Portfolio' on the Alta Platform, with email notifications.
Open

When the order is 'Open', it is available for matching on Alta Exchange. 

Firm Orders are open for 3 days and Indicative Interests are open for 7 days on Alta Exchange.

Filled When the order is 'Filled', it means all quantities placed within the order has been matched in one or more trades.
Expired When the order has 'Expired', it will no longer be 'Open' and will conclude the process of the order (minus any refund to your Alta Custody wallet). Any outstanding and unmatched quantities in the order will remain unfulfilled.
Cancelled When the order is 'Cancelled', it will no longer be 'Open' and will conclude the process of the order (minus any refund to your Alta Custody wallet). Any outstanding and unmatched quantities in the order will remain unfulfilled.
